At our St Nicholas Centre counter we repair iPhones, Samsung Galaxy handsets, Google Pixels and most other Android phones. Shattered screens, weak batteries, charging faults and software trouble are all part of a normal day.

A new screen after a fumble at the bus stop, a battery for a handset that’s a few years old, a careful clean after a dunk in the bath: we handle these every day, so we can usually tell you quickly what’s wrong. You’ll hear the price first and get your phone back fully tested.
Our Expertise
iPhones and Samsung Galaxies make up the majority of our phone work, but we’re just as happy repairing Google Pixel, OnePlus, Motorola, Oppo and Xiaomi handsets. Parts for popular models are usually in stock, and less common ones can be ordered. With an older phone, it’s still worth asking: we’ll check parts are available and whether repairing it makes sense.
Phones tend to fail in predictable ways. Glass breaks, batteries lose capacity, charging ports fill with fluff and buttons stop clicking. These are the problems people ask us about most. If yours is something different, come in anyway: describing the symptoms face to face is usually the fastest way to figure out what’s going on.
Landed face-first on the pavement? We fit replacement OLED and LCD screens for iPhone, Samsung and Pixel, usually within about an hour, then check touch and brightness.
Phone took a dip? Skip the rice. Proper liquid damage treatment means opening it up and cleaning the board before corrosion spreads.
Topping up twice a day? A replacement battery normally restores all-day life and can be done while you wait at Unit W7.
Phone stuck on “No Service” on Union Street? A faulty antenna lead or SIM reader is often to blame; we’ll diagnose the signal.
Sunken power key or a stuck volume button? We replace the switches and their cables so every press registers again.
Having to use speakerphone for every call? We repair the earpiece, loudspeaker or mic causing it.
Nothing leaves our counter without being tested. Whether it’s a quick screen swap or a long, careful recovery after a soaking, you’ll know exactly what was done, and why, before you head home.

Screen, battery and port repairs don't erase anything, though backing up beforehand is always wise.
Qualifying repairs are covered by our repair warranty, so just bring the phone back to Unit W7 and we'll look at it promptly.
