There’s no need to know what’s technically wrong. Tell us what your phone, laptop or tablet is doing and we’ll investigate. It might be a simple screen replacement, a five-minute clean of the charging port, or a frank conversation about whether it’s time to move on.
Our Expertise
Flatmates often arrive with a bag of broken gadgets between them, and that’s no problem. Phones, iPads, MacBooks and Windows laptops can all be checked in the same visit. It saves trips into town, and one team keeps track of every device repair you’ve had done with us.
Granite pavements are unforgiving, so screen replacements keep our bench busiest. We source displays to match your exact handset and fit them with new seals. Many phone screen jobs take roughly an hour, and tablet and laptop screens can usually be ordered in within a few days.
Lithium batteries hate the cold, so a worn one often gives up first on a chilly Aberdeen morning. We measure the old battery’s health, make sure the charging circuit isn’t the real culprit, then fit a new battery rated correctly for your device. Laptops and tablets are handled the same way.
Rain, puddles, sinks and spilled pints all leave residue that keeps corroding long after the device dries. We dismantle it, clean the board in an ultrasonic bath and replace parts that have been damaged. The process is the same for a soaked phone or a laptop that’s taken a drink.
Having to hold the cable at just the right angle? Pocket fluff packed into the port is often to blame. We clean it carefully first, and only replace the port if it’s genuinely worn.
Some faults are obvious; others hide. A phone that reboots itself, a laptop that freezes after ten minutes or a tablet that drains overnight could have one of several causes. We work through them methodically, then give you our findings and a price. Whether you go ahead is entirely up to you.

Most people simply drop by. If you'd prefer a guaranteed slot, book online and we'll try to have the right part waiting. Either way, you'll be talking to a technician within a few minutes of reaching Unit W7 in the St Nicholas Centre.
We examine the device, run the tests it needs and tell you what we've found, with a price and timescale. If you'd rather not go ahead, that's completely fine, and you're under no obligation.
Once you have agreed, the repair begins. Screens go on with fresh adhesive, connectors are seated properly and every screw goes back in its place. It is painstaking work, but it is exactly what makes the difference between a repair that lasts and one that brings you back to the counter a month later.
Before we contact you, the device is tested end to end: display, cameras, sound, charging and connections. At collection, we'll show you it working and answer any questions you have.
