Every month a spare handset sits in a drawer, it’s worth less. Turn yours into cash at Unit W7, or save money with a tested second-hand phone, tablet or laptop from our counter.
For a rough idea of value, WhatsApp us the model, storage size and a couple of photos. For a firm offer, bring the phone to the St Nicholas Centre so we can check it properly.

Just upgraded? Your old phone may be worth more than you’d think, even with a broken screen or a dead battery. At FoneTech Aberdeen we buy most mainstream brands and pay on the spot. Damage lowers the price but rarely wipes it out, and unlocked handsets often attract a little more.
You’ll get a fair offer, with no obligation to accept.
FAQ
Mainly smartphones, tablets, laptops and smartwatches from the better-known brands. Not sure about yours? Message us first.
We look at the model, how much storage it has, its cosmetic state and whether every function works. You'll watch us check it, so there's no mystery about the number.
Usually, since parts hold value. We'll also tell you whether repairing it first would get you more.
Yes. Its value can go towards any second-hand phone we have in stock, and we'll show you what's available.
Bring photo ID. Before you come, save your photos elsewhere, log out of your Apple or Google account and turn off the passcode, as we can't buy a locked handset.
FoneTech Aberdeen repairs phones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches and games consoles from Unit W7 in the St Nicholas Centre, just off Union Street. Students, offshore crews, families and city-centre workers all bring us their gadgets. Show us what’s broken and you’ll get a frank opinion and a fixed price before a single screw is turned.
